Many of our students come to mosaics from a non-art background.
Students of IMA will come away with a building block of technical information that will
enable them to experiment, create, and complete a variety of mosaic projects on their own in the future, or within the context of another class

We recommend that you start with one of the following courses:

This class is for the total beginner or for students who have been experimenting with mosaics, but want a solid base of technical information to continue with.

Most new students start with this class.

This is a great follow-up to Mosaics 101, but if you know that you are interested primarily in outdoor mosaics, this is the class for you. Like in Mosaics 101, we start with the basics, and apply them to outdoor situations. The difference here is that in this course students work with exterior grade adhesives and tile, which can be more difficult to cut and shape, but most newcomers feel comfortable jumping right in!
