Day One:
10 - 10:30 Introductions and paper mosaic project with safe scissors

10:45 - 11:00 SPARK! Mosaic education video of IMA founder Laurel True
11:00 - 12:00 Drawings for first mosaic project- mosaic mural elements
11:30 - 12:00 Mosaic setting demo/ practice with pieces
12:00 - 12: 30 Lunch in garden courtyard
12:30 - 2:00 Mosaic flower pot project
2:00 - 2:45 Casting concrete stepping stones in fun shapes to mosaic later in the week
2: 45- 3 pm Clean up

Day Two:
10 - 10:30 Uncast/ release concrete stepping stone
mid- morning snack
10:45 - 11:00 Video of Community Mosaic Mural Making in Ghana, West Africa
11:00 - 12:00 Mosaic on cast stepping stone
12:00 - 12: 30 Lunch in garden courtyard
12:30 - 1:00 Drawing for large planters
1:00 - 2:00 Setting in teams on giant planters
2:00 - 2:45 Grout flower pots from day one
2: 45- 3 pm Clean up

Day Three:
10 - 10:30 Group chat about art, pattern, form and materials
mid- morning snack
10:45 - 11:00 Slide show of mosaic sculpture parks.. wacky and wild mosaics!
11:00 - 12:00 Project: Working with textures in mosaic, wall hanging
12:00 - 12: 30 Lunch in garden courtyard
12:30 - 1:30 Set mosaic design elements for group mural on mesh backing
1:30 - 2:00 Learn about mosaic materials of the world
2:00 - 2:45 Mosaic Materials Scavenger Hunt (Walk around building or hood finding different materials, check off sheet)
2: 45- 3 pm Clean up

Day Four:
10 - 10:30 Mosaic mirror project
mid- morning snack
10:45 - 11:00 Slide show/ video of mosaic murals
11:00 - 12:00 Continue mirror project
12:00 - 12: 30 Lunch in garden courtyard
12:30 - 1:30 Mosaic mural making project- application of mesh designs and mural background fill in
1:30 - 2:45 Grout stepping stone and texture project. Select grout color for mirror.
2: 45- 3 pm Clean up
(Staff will grout mirror project to be ready to take home at end of day 5)

Day Five:
10: 00 - 11:00 Mosaic/ Art Walk around neighborhood/ snack
11:00 - 12:00 Mosaic coaster set- no grout method
12:00 - 12: 30 Lunch in garden courtyard
12:30 - 1:30 Grouting Mosaic Mural!
1:30 - 2:00 Clean up for party and mural unveiling
2: 00- 3:00 Mosaic party, project exhibition, mural unveiling/ dedication and Certificate/ Diploma handout.
