This unique course is part of our Business of Art Series at Institute of Mosaic Art. This weekend seminar will cover many of the issues that mosaic artists are wondering about or struggling with and are searching for information about.

If you are interested in taking your mosaic art into the professional realm, are considering or starting to get commissioned projects, want to show your artwork professionally or are just looking to get more information about how to proceed in the business aspects of mosaics, this is a great course— like no other course that we know of.

Instructor Laurel True has been doing architectural mosaic work and public art for 18 years. Trial and error helped her learn the ins and outs of the professional mosaic business early in her career. She has done private and commercial commissioned work, public art and community projects and has a long history of interfacing with design, architect and construction professionals. She has completed over 100 commissioned architectural projects as well as 100s of fine art and craft mosaics and home decor items over the last 15 years and had lectured internationally on the art of mosaics. Her only career has been in the field of mosaics.
Projects include: City parks, hospitals, restaurants, civic buildings, non- profits, schools, hotels and private residences.
Clients Include: City of Pleasanton, San Francisco Arts Commission, Long's Drug Stores, Marriott Hotels, AF Evans Development, Rafanelli and Nahas Architects, San Diego Children's Hospital, Milpitas Arts Alliance and many more.
