Make use of the wonderful translucent and transparent qualities of glass in this unique project-specific course. Students will learn the basics of cutting, scoring, breaking and setting glass mosaics.

Working on a substrate of frosted glass, students will create a glass mosaic lamp that will glitter with reflection and refraction of light, both from the inside and out.

Instructor will demonstrate uses of clear adhesives on both horizontal and vertical surfaces, talk and lecture on glass-on-glass mosaic techniques, including setting and grouting.

These lamps make beautiful, hand made gifts.

Students will receive one on one instruction in the use of basic glass tools and will design and set a four sided glass on glass mosaic lamp. Inspirational designs will also be offered.

Scheduled session
