Glass Mosaic Lamp
Instructor: Tracy Broback
Learn about the wonderful translucent and light reflecting qualities of glass in a unique mosaic class for new students. In Glass Mosaic Lamp, the instructor will help students create a four-sided glass on frosted glass mosaic lamp. Design technique instruction will include selecting and using glass tessaerae that reflects and refracts light for maximum brilliance. Additionally, the instructor will demonstrate how to use clear adhesives on horizontal and vertical surfaces, plus glass-on-glass mosaic setting and grouting methods.
Students new to mosaic art will receive one-on-one instruction in basic glass cutting, scoring, cutting, designing, setting and selecting tools. Each student will design and set a colorfully sparkling glass mosaic lamp that is ready for gift-giving or personal enjoyment.
