Come get the holiday party season started and mosaic a one of a kind 3-D Star to bring sparkle to your home! In this two-day weekend class students will mosaic a dimensional star wall hanging. Stars are custom made by Tracy Broback and each is unique, measuring approximately 10 inches across. We will use many different techniques to make these forms really shine such as mirror, collage, pique assiette, glass and ceramic tesserae. All levels are welcome.
Students provide their own materials or you may supplement your supplies using a 10% discount in Mosaic Studio Supply. To truly customize each piece students may bring pictures, holiday cards and photos, stamps, lines of script, drawings, old jewelry, broken china and all kinds of tesserae. The instructor will work individually with students to include these items in each piece. Students may use both days to mosaic their star. A grouting lecture specific to three-dimensional forms will be given on Sunday. Grouting may be completed on your own.
