MOSAICS FROM RECYCLED MATERIALS

In this one-day workshop students will explore the use of found objects and recycled materials in mosaic art. Students will use a traditional setting method to embed tesserae into a tinted adhesive layer. Items such as buttons, coins, car parts, and bottle caps, will be used as tesserae to create unique and creative pieces with a focus on reuse and recycling.

Students are encouraged to bring heirlooms and treasures to include for a personalized piece of art. A great selection of fun and resourceful mixed media tesserae will be provided for students to use as well.

Students will take home a uniquely designed completed mosaic mirror from recycled materials!
