MOSAICING SMALL OBJECTS

Join instructor Nicole Bertoline for this short and fun class. Perfect for students who want to learn the basics of making small functional and decorative mosaic objects and perfect for students who want to make handmade, personalized holiday gifts! Instructor will present basic lecture and demonstration for cutting tile and glass as well as covering the basics of adhesives, setting on vertical and horizontal surfaces and grouting and finishing work.

Students will have a great range of materials to select from to create their projects including colored glass, colored mirror, vitreous glass, ceramic tile and glass gems. Objects to be covered in mosaic in class may include a glass bottle, light switch cover, votive candleholder, and set of two coasters, trivet, small flowerpot or small picture frame. Session three will be devoted to grouting and will include a short lecture on grout color selection and finishing of small objects. No mosaic experience necessary!
