Journey
I have always been an artist, experimenting with a lot of different art forms, painting, drawing, printmaking, textiles, and glass to name a few. Today, I feel my past art experiences have come together in my mosaics. After the design process is completed, my search for the perfect tesserae begins.

Mosaics
I discovered IMA randomly, while googling. I was curious, so I took a class. Since then my life has never been the same again. I am hooked on mosaics. My background in Textile Design greatly influences my work, and I love playing with textures and colors to compliment my designs. After getting involved with mosaics, I have travelled a lot to visit ancient and contemporary mosaic sites ( Paris, London, Italy, Vienna and India). IMA has added a lot of richness to my artistic life.

Growth
I have been fortunate enough to have learned the art of mosaic from a lot of wonderful visiting artists at IMA. Laurel Skyes vibrant classes and personality have inspired me a lot. It was in Lillian Sizemores Mandala class Mosaics from the Mind's Eye that I discovered my voice in mosaics.

Direction
I hope to continue my growth in fine art mosaics and hopefully have more opportunities for gallery work.
