IMA birthday party and reception
We had a wonderful and packed first half of June as we celebrated our anniversary! We hosted wonderful Visiting Instructor Kelley Knickerbocker for a full Radical Dimensions in Glass class and held several artist's receptions for our exhibits during Open Studios the first two weekends in June.

Mosaics are in the air and classes are filling up quickly this summer! Come on down and visit us, the garden is exploding with color, the exhibitions feature over 50 artworks and our permanent collection of mosaic art on display keeps growing.

Estuary Art Attack

East Bay Open Studios, Jingletown Art Walk and the Estuary Art Attack a success! We had hundreds of visitors over two weekends for these summer events! The Esturay Art Attack continues in Oakland's Jingletown neighborhood and in Alameda for the first Friday in July and August as well. For more information and a map:

Many studios and galleries and restaurants in Alameda — right over the bridge from IMA and Jingletown — will be open for the first Estuary Art Attack.


The American Craft Council

Institute of Mosaic Art will be giving several mosaic demonstrations at The American Craft Council Show in San Francisco, Aug. 14-16 at Fort Mason Center. Look for more details and win free tickets to this event in our July Newsletter!
