The new schedule brings some exciting new courses and Visiting Instructors old & new.
Just a few highlights include: Mosaics for Parent & Child, Color and Design for Mosaics with renowned British artist & author Emma Biggs (this one's going to fill up fast!). Our always popular mosaic Intensive with Sonia King returns this December!
Exciting things for 2009 will include another session of Lillian Sizemore's workshop Mosaics from the Mind's Eye as well as pioneer tempered glass artist Ellen Blakeley. Laurie Mika returns with TWO of her iconographic classes, Shadow Box Shrines and Urban Icons. In March Mosaic Rock star Bill Buckingham will join us for his signature course Rocking with Stone Mosaics.

IMA's Mosaic Mural Making class with Laurel True continues its tradition of mosaicing up the neighborhood with this cool tiki-inspired mural for a new local restaurant: TikiTom's Restaurant & Lounge. This piece joins, Voila Juices, Lopez Palettes, Kefa Coffee House and IMA itself.
