As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to thank all of our students, visitors, artists and instructors and especially staff for helping to make this year so wonderful. We have more programming than ever and have had students from as far afield as South America and India this year. THANK YOU for helping to make IMA such a cool place!

We have added new Lab sessions for those of you who want to make mosaic gifts in a mosaic community environment. Come in and work on your projects, drink coffee and hob nob with other mosaic enthusiasts.

Weekly drop in Lab runs Fridays, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Holiday Drop in Lab
December 15 - 16 and December 22 - 23, 10 - 4:30 p.m.

Mosaic Cafe is also open Wednesday - Friday 11- 5: 30 pm for people who want to drop in and get started making something. Our friendly Mosaic Cafe staff will get you started in the right direction...even if you have no experience!

Last, but not least we are also offering a weekend course on December 1 & 2, Mosaic Gifts with instructor Tracy Broback. Make up to 5 mosaic gift items in this informative class!

Holiday Mosaic Exhibit and Gift Sale

Holiday Mosaic Exhibit & Jingletown Artists Exhibit

Join us for our Holiday Mosaic Exhibit an exhibit of affordable works of art by emerging and established mosaic artists. Two and three-dimensional fine art and functional works.

We will also feature a group exhibit of artists working in all media from the Jingletown Junction Neighborhood in Oakland, CA. In conjunction with Jingletown Holiday Art Walk December 1 - 2nd. In partnership with JABC— Jingletown Arts and Business Community.

Jingletown Holiday Art Walk

The Jingletown Arts & Business Community is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Holiday Art Walk, Saturday and Sunday, December 1 and 2, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Many of the participating artists will hold preview receptions in their studios on Friday, November 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

This holiday open studio will highlight the work of over 25 artists who live and/or work in the area known as Jingletown, which is situated between the Park and Fruitvale Street bridges bordered by the estuary separating Oakland from the island of Alameda.
